Classification of garbage grabs

Main classification

According to the type of grab, it can be divided into mechanical grab type and hydraulic grab type cranes. Among them, the mechanical grab is a four-rope structure, and the size of the grabbing force depends on the self-weight of the grab and the specific gravity of the material being grabbed. Since the bulk density of garbage is relatively light, compared to hydraulic grabs, the four-rope grab has a smaller cutting volume, smaller grabbing force, and lower filling rate. Hydraulic grabs are divided into clamping type (two-piece grab teeth, also known as clam type) and claw type (multi-piece grab teeth, also known as plum blossom type, lotus type). Among them, the claw grab is widely used due to its large cutting volume, large grabbing force, high filling rate, and the hydraulic cylinder being located on the outside for easy maintenance. Its disadvantages are that it is easy to rotate when it falls on an inclined pile of materials, causing the steel wire rope and cables to tangle together. Additionally, it has a high cost and is expensive.
